Advancing Self-Care and Wellness in Academic Nursing

Deans have the ability to create an environment /culture that promotes wellbeing for students, faculty and staff. This session will explore the importance of placing one's own wellbeing as a high priority, as well as exploring ideas on how to enhance wellbeing of nursing leaders. Nursing leaders have the opportunity to create school or department wide policies that promote a culture of wellbeing. Specific ideas will be discussed that contribute to a healthier work environment such as team norms, boundary setting and mindful practices.
