View Info

This session will spotlight the impact nurses have on leading innovation and advancing new models of care with a focus on the Johnson & Johnson produced documentary 5B. This film conveys the inspirational story of how nurses took extraordinary action to care for patients in the first AIDS ward at San Francisco General Hospital in the early 1980s. Members of an expert committee convened by AACN will discuss the central themes from 5B and how this film can be used as a teaching tool to inspire the next generation of nursing students to provide compassionate care.
