The nation's public health priorities are constantly evolving as nurse leaders work to strengthen and transform our nation's health. Through her role as Chief Nurse Officer at the US Public Health Service, Rear Admiral Mix will discuss current public health concerns, such as climate change and health equity. Come learn from a seasoned leader with more than 20 years of experience in nursing as a clinician, public health practitioner, educator, and emergency manager. Participants will dig deeper into today's public health landscape and consider how academic nursing can engage to help keep communities safe.
