Dr. LaKeesha Sims DNP, MSN-Ed, RN is the current Project Director of the Nursing Workforce Diversity Grant at Lourdes University. Her background consists 17 years of experience in acute care and nursing education. After gaining experience as a Registered Nurse, LaKeesha returned to Lourdes and completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree to become a nurse educator in 2019 and her Doctor of Nursing degree in 2021. As the current Project Director of INSPIRE, she understands what a diverse/disadvantaged student entails and assists in developing ways to increase nursing progression and retention of nurses under-represented among registered nursing.
