Virtual Simulation Based Learning for the CNL Student Using Standardized Patient Scenarios to Meet Expected Clinical Experiences
Description: Virtual clinical experiences can be successfully implemented in a Clinical Nurse Leader Program to temporarily exchange in person clinical experiences with virtual simulated faculty guided clinical. These experiences will prepare the CNL student for lateral integration of quality nursing practice at the point of care and across the continuum and life span of patients to meet the CNL competencies. This is achieved through virtual development of skills, functioning in an interdisciplinary team, engagement in outcome based clinical practice and use of quality improvement strategies to advance optimal patient care.
