Catherine Mann
Biography:
Dr. Catherine Mann is the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies and Clinical Associate Professor at the University at Buffalo, School of
Nursing. Her clinical background is in home health, including hospice and palliative care. Dr. Mann is a certified nurse educator with more
than 20 years of teaching experience who strives to improve patient-centered care through educational initiatives. She is a member of the
University interprofessional education leadership team. In this role she participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation
of interprofessional education at the university level.
Dr. Mann’s current clinical research focuses on improving patient care transitions to
hospice and palliative care and development of clinical judgment in nurses in practice and in nursing students. Past research experience
interests are developing EBP, nursing education and URMs, and vulnerable populations including development, implementation, and
evaluation of educational programs for nurses and other health professionals aimed at improving care for people with developmental
disabilities.
