2025 Code of Ethics for Nurses: Bringing the Code to Life

The newly revised 2025 Code of Ethics for Nurses will be widely available January 2025. Join us for a sneak peek of the revision as we discuss how the Code influences and supports nurses in everyday practice. Nurses seek guidance and direction as they continue to navigate the ever-changing healthcare landscape. How can foundational documents like the Code help them? In this session, the presenters will highlight the relational nature of the Code – shifting focus from traditional bioethics principles to the relationships in nursing and values that shape our profession. They will also explore practical and aspirational aspects of the Code related to local, national, and global endeavors. The forward-looking 2025 Code reflects the challenges of nursing today while acknowledging who we are as individual nurses and as a profession.
